If all has gone to plan the Invaders will, by the end of summer, have been driven back and forced into manning their formidable southern Erin defensive line against the Factions. The time has come for one final effort to defeat these bloodthirsty warriors. It will take the combined might of all the Factions to give you all at least a fighting chance it would appear and indeed would anybody be able to live down the shame of not being present at the hour of final victory?
This is the Lorien Trust's biggest event of the summer. Faction & Guild politics, trading & LARP market, merriment, rituals, skirmishes and lots of excitement and adventure are just a few of the thrills and spills that may be expected at The Gathering. All this is culminated with a mass battle on the Monday. This year will be the thirteenth Gathering. With the event now at a capacity of three and a half thousand players it is the biggest event of this type in Europe.
As well as the shopping experience this year we will be offering a return of both the Fantasy Fashion Show and the Zombie Make Up Workshop but also looking to add Historical Combat Workshops and a bigger and more lucrative Free Prize Draw.
Staged twice a year in February and October the International Living History Fair has become one of the primary multi-period market places for both re-enactors historical interpreters and historical enthusiasts across Europe.
